Why do digital video cameras have huge zooms but photo cameras do not? - humongous sports
I am often asked why a digital hard disk / flash drive / etc video camera can sport up to 50x optical zoom, while the digital camera zoom, I saw (with the exception of giant, extremely expensive SLR Zoom) is an Olympus 20x. Is it too heavy, high quality will have a 50x zoom camera, or what?
